BADKHAL LAKE AT FARIDABAD (HARYANA)
Badkhal Lake
Badkhal Lake was a natural lake situated in Badkhal village near Faridabad, built in 1947 in the Indian state of Haryana, about 32 kilometers from Delhi. Fringed by the hills of the Aravalli Range this was a man-made embankment. Owing to unchecked mining in neighbouring areas, the lake has now totally dried up. There are functional Haryana Tourism restaurants in the vicinity. A flower show is held every spring here. Its name is most probably derived from the Persian word bedakhal, which means free from interference. Close to Badkhal Lake, is the Peacock Lake, which is another picturesque spot. It is an important biodiversity area contiguous to Asola Bhatti Wildlife Sanctuary within the Northern Aravalli leopard wildlife corridor.
PARSON MANDIR
Parson Temple is one of the Hindu temples marked as the holiest and revered. This temple is also known as Maha Rishi Prashar Tapo Bhumi.It is situated in Faridabad, Haryana near to Badkhal lake. As you’ll enter at the entry gate of Badkhal lake you’ll find a right turn just before the lake. Reaching to the right turn of lake you may follow the in-built marks to access the Parson Temple. And being a beautiful temple its glimpse is said to be auspicious
One can explore the living style and willingness to meet God of sage Prashar Parkand Rishi (famous for his wisdom) in his Ashram. It visited largely by the locals. Along with locals its interiors hold the power to fascinate people nearby Faridabad. One more reason to visit this temple is that it is surrounded by green trees and Arawali Valley.

The temple has a pond named as Braham Kund.It is believed that one can have a holy dip to get rid of his sins in this pond. The pond has separate places to have bath for men and women. It is strictly mention in the temple that you have to manage the cleanness of temple. Beside the pond, the temple is also embellished with a beautiful and eye soothing water fall. This waterfall can make you feel free from the hustle bustle of busy scheduled life.
